Short- Mat

Hanborough Bowls Club was founded as a short mat club in 1989. Matches were and still are played in the Playing Fields Pavilion.

Friendlies are played against other club over the winter months.

We have a team in the Oxford Short Mat League and one in the West Oxfordshire Division of the Oxfordshire Short Mat Bowling Association. Individual members enter various competitions in one or other of the two leagues.

Monday and Friday afternoons roll-ups are well supported, as much as a social occasion as well as for bowls.
